mission Statement
Women are often portrayed in the media as beautiful and attractive rather then recognized for their intelligence or choice of field work. Even when a woman is trying to be portrayed as successful there is still certain aspects that have viewers see a beautiful woman first and then a successful one. Yet, representation in career choices related to the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) field, portray women as masculine and tomboyish. Even though there is an audience for viewers such as these, if the media is trying to attract all women into the STEM field then it is important to have correct representation.
